Introducing the baccarat game table

Get Started with Baccarat

The baccarat game is referred to as an elitist of casino cards games. The table has a special layout on it and it’s the same in both baccarat online and offline versions. Usually there is one croupier, who directs the players throughout the baccarat casino game, one or two dealers and 1-14 players. The player at position 1 can opt for being the “Banker” and deal no more than two cards for each hand. There are two main hands dealt in a round:

  • • The player’s hand
  • • The banker’s hand

The rest of the players have the job to predict whether the Player or the Banker’s hand will score a value closest to 9.

Know the cards value

Whether you choose to play the online or the offline of baccarat casino, the cards values are the same:

  • • Aces are counted as 1
  • • Cards 2-9 are counted as the numbers on them
  • • 10s, Jacks, Queens and Kings are counted as zero

Thus, if you have two cards, a Jack and a 6 for instance, the value would be 12 + 6 = 18, which means that the final value would be 8.

Best way to win at baccarat

Individual players don’t receive any cards during the game. The only thing they have to do is decide which hand to bet their money on – the Player’s or the Banker’s. That’s it. It’s actually quite similar to Blackjack.

Keep in mind though that before you start betting with real money, you should play free baccarat in order to get accustomed to the rules of the game, to how it’s played and to the atmosphere. Once you’re set up, you can start making some real money.
